Vacancy Notice for Roster Update for Thematic Experts, Researchers, Trainers, and Evaluators

Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal (BWSN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting inclusive and sustainable development in Nepal. Established in 1995, BWSN has been working across diverse sectors to uplift marginalized communities, including women, children, Dalits, Janajatis, and other disadvantaged groups. With a strong presence in Madhesh Province and Koshi Province, BWSN addresses critical issues in health, education, governance, WASH, and climate resilience. We partner with national and international agencies to ensure rights-based development that enhances community participation and equity.
BWSN is currently updating its roster to include thematic experts, researchers, trainers and evaluators in the following areas:
- Health and WASH (including sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health)
- Livelihood/Nutrition and Food Security
- Education (formal, non-formal, TVET, inclusive education, and child rights)
- Governance and Social Accountability
- Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI)
- Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience
- Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Emergency Response
- Youth Empowerment and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH)
- Migration, Safe Foreign Employment, and Labor Rights
- Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Management
- Water Resources Management and Sustainable Agriculture
- Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
- Human Rights and Legal Advocacy
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)
- Media and Communication for Development
- Urban Development and planning
- Traffic Safety and management
- Public Private Partnership
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of professional experience, or PhD in related field with relevant experience.
- Proven track record of working in development, research, and evaluation, particularly in Madhesh Province or similar contexts.
- Strong understanding of governance, equity, and inclusion frameworks is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Nepali is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Madhesh Province is an added advantage.
