Naulo Ghumti Nepal (NGN) is a non-government organization established in 2002 in Pokhara to work among marginalized and stigmatized communities in Nepal. NGN originally began as a project funded by International Nepal Fellowship in 1995 to tackle the growing epidemic of HIV/AIDS and drug abuse in Nepal among Injecting Drug users and PLHIV. Since then, NGN has successfully grown in experience and capability as an organization, proving its sustainability and continuing its work in social service. Over the past two decades, NGN has broadened its' activities in terms of geographical coverage and thematic area. We have increased our reach to improve lives among vulnerable and stigmatized communities from providing affordable health services to child protection, education, income generation, rural infrastructure development, WASH, disaster risk reduction, climate change, good governance, livelihood and advocacy programs. NGN has reached 23 of the 77 districts in Nepal covering six of the seven provinces in Nepal till date. Currently, NGN is serving marginalized and stigmatized key populations of PLHIVs, IDUs, vulnerable poor children and rural communities across Nepal through its various projects in Kaski, Tanahun and Manang districts. NGN has also launched its Sponsor A Dream Program, which aims to sponsor and support disadvantaged children from vulnerable and poor backgrounds to afford education in community schools. The program is supported by annual fundraising drive conducted by NGN among philanthropists and corporate institutions within Nepal.

Location: Consultancy can be office-based, home-based, or on-site

Call for Roster Applications:

In our ongoing efforts to expand our reach and enhance our impact, we are inviting applications to create a roster of skilled and dedicated individuals as experts or resource persons for consultancy positions. The roster will serve as a pool of potential candidates for current and upcoming projects, events, and initiatives. We are seeking organizations and individuals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Proven 5 years of experience in education, digital education, policy and related issues

Public Health

  • Relevant degree in Health sciences, Nutrition, HIV/STI, Rehabilitation or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in health projects, WASH, research, policy, advocacy and related issues

3.

Agriculture

  • Relevant degree in Agriculture, Foresty, Veterinary sciences, Rural Development or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in agriculture, vet services and related issues

4.

Trail Bridge and Rural Infrastructure

  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Development or related field 
  • Proven 5 years of experience in trail bridge survey design, project management, coordination, social mobilization and report writing

5.

Poverty and Livelihood

  • Relevant degree in Social Sciences, Development, Economics or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in proposal design, policy, advocacy and related issues

6.

Gender Equality and Social Inclusion

  • Relevant degree in Social Sciences, Development, Law or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in GESI, research, policy, advocacy and related issues

7.

Climate Change, Resilience and Adaptation

  • Relevant degree in Climate Change, Geography, Social Sciences or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in climate change projects, research, policy, advocacy and related issues

8.

Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

  • Relevant degree in DRR management, Social Sciences or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in DRR projects, policy, advocacy and related issues

9.

Policy Development

  • Relevant degree in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Development or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in policy development, research, advocacy and related issues 

10.

Good Governance

  • Relevant degree in Social Sciences, Development, Management or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in health projects, research, policy, advocacy and related issues

11.

Counselling

  • Relevant degree in Counseling, Psychology or related field 
  • Relevant expertise in the specific area (e.g., Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation, HIV, STI, Mental Health, etc.)

12.

Researcher

  • Relevant degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Education, Demography, Economics, Statistics or related field
  • Proven 5 years of experience in research, research methodology, survey design, data analysis, and research report writing
  • Prior knowledge on related issues

13. 

Resource Persons for Training and Workshops (Trainer, Facilitator, Resource Persons)

  • Relevant expertise in the specific area (e.g., harm reduction, HIV, tuberculosis, STI, mental health, counselling, legal rights, etc.)
  • Training and facilitation skills 
  • Demonstrated experience conducting training workshops

Note:

This roster is not for a specific job opening but will be used to identify suitable candidates for future opportunities. By applying, candidates agree to be included in Naulo Ghumti Nepal’s roster for three years during which they may be contacted for potential collaboration. 

Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview when any position opens up. The selection process may also include a skills assessment or other relevant evaluations.
