Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal (BWSN) is a non- governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting inclusive and sustainable development in Nepal Established in 1995, BWSN has been working across diverse sectors to uplift marginalized communities, including women, children, Dalits, Janjatis, and other disadvantage groups with a strong presence in Madhesh Province and Khoshi Province. BWSN address critical issues in health, education, governance, integrated Urban governance, livelihood, wash, climate resilience etc. BWSN partner with national and international agencies to ensure rights-based development that enhance community/ participation and equality. 

BWSN is implementing Hamro Sahar/ Urban FutureScape Piolet project in partnership with Harion Municipality and Helvetas Nepal with the technical support of KU (Kathmandu University) at Harion of Sarlahi District, Madhesh Province. BWSN is currently updating the roster to include thematic experts, researchers, trainers and evaluators in the following areas.

  • Governance and Social accountability
  • Integrated Urban Development and Planning 
  • Climate change Adaptation and Resilience
  • Policy revision and formulation/ update local level
  • Public private partnership development
  • Public hearing, Social Audit and Budget planning
  • Vision building and goal setting of local government
  • Concept of development and federal governance, legal literacy session
  • Disaster Risk Reduction (DDR) and Emergency Response
  • Environmental sustainability and Natural Resource Management
  • Gender Equality, Disability and Social inclusion (GEDSI)
  • Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurships Development
  • Haman rights and Legal Advocacy
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Accountability Learning (MEAL)
  • Media and communication for Development
  • Traffic Safety and management
  • Youth Empowerment and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH)
  • Migration, Safer foreign Employment and Labor rights
  • Water Resource Management and Sustainable Agriculture
  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of professional experience; or PhD in related field with relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of working in development, research, and evaluation particularly in Madhesh province or Similar contexts.
  • Strong understanding of governance, equity, and inclusion frameworks is desirable
  • Fluency in English and Nepali is mandatory knowledge of local language spoken in Madhesh Province is an added advantage.
