Call for Proposal: Understanding human-tiger conflict risk in the Eastern Terai Arc Landscape

WWF Nepal

Details / requirements:

Human-wildlife conflict has been a major area of work for WWF Nepal. In general, the interaction between humans and wild animals has had a negative impact on people, their resources, and to wild species, which is understood as human-wildlife conflict (HWC). Increasingly, literature has pointed that due to people’s heavy reliance on forest resources, habitat shrinkage from conversion of forests and wildlife habitats to other land-uses and increase in wildlife populations from strict protection are the proximate drivers of conflict.

WWF Nepal seeks the services of a consultant to generate evidence that supports adaptive management practices, ensuring that conservation interventions are both context-specific and effective in mitigating human-tiger conflict while promoting coexistence.
Interested VAT registered organizations in Nepal are requested to submit technical and financial proposals providing a detailed breakdown of total budget in Nepali rupees, electronically to proposals-wildlife@wwfnepal.org.

Please mention “PROPOSAL- Understanding human-tiger conflict risk in the Eastern Terai Arc Landscape” as an email subject and submit the proposal by 5 p.m. Nepal Standard Time, 7 February 2025.
