Call for Proposal: Revision of Terai Arc Landscape Strategy and Action Plan

The Terai Arc Landscape (TAL) envisions a globally unique landscape where biodiversity is conserved, ecological integrity is safeguarded, and the socio-economic well-being of the people is secured in a dynamic environment of land, water, and resource use. In line with the vision, the overall goal of TAL is to conserve the ecosystems of the Terai and Churia hills while ensuring safeguards the rights of indigenous communities and local people. The TAL Strategic Plan has been the guiding document for all programs/projects in the landscape. The first 10-year TAL Strategy and Implementation Plan (2004-2014) provided a touchstone to guide and address urgent conservation management issues and to tackle priority threats to make TAL an ecologically functional landscape. The second Strategy and Action Plan has continued to guide conservation in TAL from 2015 to 2025 by addressing persisting and emerging threats to ensure socio-ecological integrity of the TAL over the next decade and beyond. With the tenure of the current strategic plan ending in 2025, formulation of ten-year strategy and action plan is proposed to adapt and enhance strategies for the continued success of TAL's conservation endeavors and address existing and future challenges.

WWF Nepal seeks the services of a consultant to develop a ten-year-old integrated strategy and action plans for the TAL addressing contemporary and emerging issues and challenges of conservation landscape management.
