Call for expression of interest (EoI): Evaluation (survey) for at scale hygiene promotion through routine immunisation programme in Nepal

Background

WaterAid Nepal seeks a research / academic institutions, NGOs or other relevant parties to conduct evaluation study for nationwide integration "Hygiene Promotion through Routine Immunization Programme in Nepal" implemented in partnership with the Family Welfare Division/Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Population. 

The evaluation study will be conducted representing at scale integration of hygiene promotion into routine immunization programme (sample size to be proposed by the third party) across multiple districts inclusive of geographic diversity. The evaluation study will assess the prevalent practice of key hygiene behaviours among guardians, routine immunization coverage among children 16-23 months and assess the capacity of health workers to deliver behaviour change programme.  In this context, WaterAid Nepal would like to invite an Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested and expert research/academic institutions, NGOs or other relevant parties to conduct the evaluation survey.

Competency required: 

• Strong and analytically oriented research background in development, preferably with a focus on water, sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) or health or social sciences and behaviour change interventions
• Proven knowledge and experience in conducting large scale evaluation focusing on WASH and or hygiene behaviour change programming. 
• Proven track-record of conducting large scale baseline/follow-up/endline study or research work in past focusing on WASH, behaviour change, Health, and social science arena.   
• Ability to mobilize, train and work with trained local diverse data collectors.   
• Ability to analyse large data sets using SPSS or Stata or any other statistical analysis software.  
• Ability to analyse behaviour, disease and health system quantitative AND qualitative data. 
• Proficiency in written and spoken English to an advanced standard and proven experiences in writing analysed report.   
• A good grasp of health sector government operations from centre to local level is desirable. 
• Knowledge on various data collection methods including the structed observation at various settings. 

Interested, qualified and experienced organizations and individuals are requested to submit their technical proposal  and financial proposal with a detailed budget breakdown in the provided template including applicable taxes, updated CV highlighting suitability of expertise for the assignment and other information as mentioned in the TOR along with, company registration, VAT certificate and recent year tax clearance certificate i.e. for FY 2079/80. In case of individual consultant, PAN number should be submitted with proposal.
