ZTRAINING OF TRAINER (TOT) ON DIALOGUE

Dialogue is a powerful tool for communication, which connects people to engage in meaningful exchanges where they listen to each other without any judgment. It is about understanding different perspectives to build empathy, trust, and resolve conflicts.

For this, a collaborative team of the Asian Academy for Peace, Research, and Development, Bikalpa Gyan Tatha Bikas Kendra, and Women for Human Rights, who are also members of the Nepal Dialogues Initiative, is conducting a five-day training. Expected participants of the training are the person from civil society, private and public institutions, and the person who is focusing on enhancing their communication and interpersonal skills.

COURSE CONTENTS
The training will include the sessions on:
  • Fundamentals of Dialogues
  • Pedagogy of Dialogue
  • Dialogue Approaches and Processes
  • Role and Skills of Dialogue Facilitator
  • Traditional Dialogue Practices in Nepal
  • National and International Dialogue Practices
  • Application of Dialogue
OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING
Fostering a dialogue culture and developing skilled trainers in dialogue based on the training curriculum developed by dialogue experts.
TRAINING METHODOLOGY
  •      Live sessions/presentation
  •      Circle discussion
  •      Peer learning and coaching
  •      Group work/discussion
  •      Role play/mock sessions
  •      Assignments
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPANTS
Interested and at least sound experiences in dialogues, practices, and skills. Dialogue practitioners working at the local, provincial, or federal levels. Participants should submit an online form by September 23, 2024. (Only 20 seats available.

 
TRAININE FEES
The selected participants are expected to participate in this five-day fully residential training and will be communicated to contribute training costs. The total contribution of the training package is 20,000.00 NPR. (*Special discounts offer for deserving applicants) 

CERTIFICATION PROCESS
The organizer team will conduct different assessments for the certification process of the training. The organizer team will take knowledge-based assessment (pre-post), assessing case studies by participants, skilled-based assessment, portfolio assessment, peer and self-assessments.
