Rural Women’s Development and Unity Centre (RUWDUC) was established in 1995 with the objective of empowering and uplifting disadvantaged women, adolescents and children. RUWDUC believes every human being has an inherent right to a healthy life, equal opportunities to avail education, employment, quality health care, and access to justice, and to live a violence-free and peaceful life, devoid from all forms of discrimination.

RUWDUC is seeking job applications from potential candidates for the post of Project Officer; Kathmandu Based for Girls Empowerment Project (GEP). The main aim of the project is to enhance the overall well-being, education, and empowerment of students, particularly focusing on girls, in government school through a multifaceted approach encompassing educational support, extracurricular activities, menstrual health awareness, waste management, scholarship programs, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders and community members.

1. Position:  Project Officer (Female)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project progress to project team members.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure that project activities align with the overall objectives.
  • Monitor and track the project progress.
  • Prepare regular reports for project stakeholders, donors, and supervisors.
  • Stay informed about best practices and developments in the field of girls' empowerment.
  • Develop periodic programmatic reports; monthly, quarterly & annual reports
  • Regular coordination with the field staff to be well updated about the status of the project and provide guidance to them. 
  • Ensure that administrative functions are established and maintained related to GEP.
  • Requirements/qualification of Project Officer:

Nepali Citizen;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, Social Work, Social Science, Rural Development and other relevant studies
  • Fluent in English & Nepali languages written and spoken;
  • Relevant experience in the development sector
  • Familiar with busy working environment, handling work pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Good in communication with people from diverse community and place.
  • Leadership, effective communication and time management
  • Good coordination skills and efficient team player

Duration: The probation period will be for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on the project need and the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
