Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996 since then engaging social mobilization, grassroots organisation/Community-Based Network Organisation (CBNO) formation and enhancing their capacity through partnership, and implementing diverse programme and projects in the sectors of sustainable agriculture and food security, climate change, and education in 21 districts of Nepal. 

SAHAS Nepal is implementing various projects in Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district. The projects are focused on agriculture; improve food security, education, livelihood support, youth development, nutrition for vulnerable, socially excluded and marginalized people. 

SAHAS Nepal is looking the potential candidate for the following position for the Improving Food and Nutrition Security (IFNS) Project:

1. Position: Business Development Officer

Duty station: Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang district

Required number: 1

Academic qualification/experiences:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Studies in marketing and finance from the recognized university 
• At least 2+ years of working experience in related field
• New business development, analytical with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of marketing, business plan and cooperative partnerships
• Effective team player and can thrive under pressure
• Excellent in computer skills with report writing skills

Major responsibilities:

• Monitor revolving loan disbursement, repayment and documentation
• Identify new business opportunities
• Support the preparation and evaluation of business plans, providing constructive feedback to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
• Support and track the progress of new enterprises
• Coordinate with cooperatives, Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and stakeholders
• Report to the supervisor and ensure accurate documentation

Salary and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of SAHAS Nepal.
