We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy, expand our market presence, and ensure the long-term success of our enterprise.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our plastic recycling business. Your primary focus will be on developing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing sales of recycled materials in the Nepali market. You will also play a key role in shaping the company’s strategy, optimizing operations, and leading a team to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, excellent sales and marketing skills, and a passion for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities for recycled plastic materials in Nepal.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
Sales & Marketing:
- Lead sales efforts to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote recycled products and build brand awareness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
Partnerships & Collaborations:
- Establish strategic partnerships with waste collectors, manufacturers, and other stakeholders in the recycling ecosystem.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations to promote sustainable practices and secure support for the business.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for business development activities.
- Analyze financial data to assess the profitability of new opportunities and guide decision-making.
- Optimize pricing strategies to maximize revenue and ensure competitiveness.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team to achieve business development and sales targets.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Ensure alignment of business development activities with the company’s overall mission and goals.
Sustainability & Impact:
- Champion the company’s mission to promote environmental sustainability and reduce plastic waste.
- Communicate the company’s impact to stakeholders, clients, and the community.
- Ensure all business development activities align with environmental standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in recycling, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of the Nepali market and business landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on driving profitability.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and social impact.
