VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Janaki Women Awareness Society (JWAS), one of the pioneer women-led organizations based in the Dhanusha district and has been contributing to uplifting the standard of living empowering women, people from marginalized communities. JWAS is now implementing "Civil Society for Nature-Based Local Agri-Food Systems (CS4FS) in selected three municipalities of the Dhanusha district.

We are looking for the following positions:

1. Position Title: Agriculture/NRM Officer - 1 Position 

Location: Janakpurdham, Dhanusha district, Madhesh province, Nepal

Reports To: Organizational Focal Person & Executive Director

Work closely with: Field staff, Consortium partners, Local Government, and private sector

Overview:

The Agriculture/NRM Officer will play a key role in implementing the project "Civil Society for Nature-Based Local Agri-Food Systems (CS4FS)." This position involves: supporting 5,000 marginalized households across three Municipal levels in Madhesh province in adopting regenerative agricultural practices and building the capacity of farmer groups, stakeholders, and municipal-level staff to enhance food security through nature-based solutions.

2. Position Title: Finance Assistant (Female Preferred) - 1 Position 

Duty Location: Janakpurdham, Dhanusha

Reports To: Agriculture/ NRM Officer

Work closely with: The Finance Head of the organization.

The Finance Assistant will play a key role in managing the admin & finance of the project "Civil Society for Nature-Based Local Agri-Food Systems (CS4FS)." The project involves supporting 5,000 marginalized households in adopting regenerative agricultural practices, building the capacity of farmer groups, and improving food security through nature-based solutions.

3. Position Title: Junior Technician Agriculture (JTA) - 3 Positions 

Location: Field-based,  selected municipalities in Dhanusha district, Madhesh province, Nepal

Reports To: Agriculture/ NRM Officer

Work closely with: Farmers, Local Government, Partner organizations, and the private sector
