iDE, a global organization that advances market-based approaches in agriculture, finance, and WASH to create income and livelihood opportunities for low-income rural households, is recruiting an Agriculture and Marketing Supervisor(AMS) for its Karnali Province and frequently visits project implementing sites. Agriculture and Marketing Supervisor(AMS)

Position: Agriculture and Marketing Supervisor (2)

Report to: Agriculture Program Officer

Duty Station: Karnali Province and frequently visit project implementing sites

Contract duration: One year with the possibility of extension as per the funding availability

Job Summary: The Agriculture and Marketing Supervisor (AMS) will be responsible to support the technical and marketing and promotion of vermicompost. This should include developing of marketing plan and execution of activities in coordination with the cooperatives and farmer groups producing vermicompost. 

Major tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop marketing and sales plan for the organic manures and tricho composting, including pricing plan and short-term/long-term targeting. He/she should facilitate the execution or implementation of the plan.
• Ensure the effective execution of various promotional activities aligning with project interventions
• Support and facilitation for planning and implementation of project activities properly, ensuring the implementation in the field timely manner. 
• Develop/strengthen supply chains, linking last-mile agents with the tricho vermicompost enterprises for promotion
• Support to the Agriculture Program officer in documentation, generation of appropriate knowledge product as per the project plan, and reporting to the respective supervisor.
• Collection and compilation of qualitative and quantitative information from the field as prescribed format, and provide it to the Agriculture Program officer for developing the narrative reports and database reports with success stories. 
• Sound technical Proven knowledge and practical skills in agriculture production and integrated pest management (IPM);
• Work for new business development and capacity building  for safe vegetable production promoting vermicompost combined with tested IPM technologies
• Develop the network and connect enterprises with local government and other stakeholders
• Coordinate with the local government and other organizations for program alliance.
• Perform other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience: Minimum of +2 or equivalent with two years of work experience(with technical competency in agriculture) in a similar field. 

Driving license (Two wheeler’s license is a must)
