ADRA Nepal invites applications from qualified and experienced Nepalese Citizens for the following position.

1. Agriculture and Marketing Officer- One Position

Station: based in Rolpa district’s project office with frequent field travel to Pyuthan field office and project sites

Agriculture and Marketing Officer will support partner staffs for the implementation of Australian Government DFAT funded agriculture and livestock-based enterprise focused livelihood project of ADRA Nepal. He/she is required to design gender-sensitive agricultural extension activities including livestock development, coordinate and mobilize partners’ Agriculture Technicians and Livestock Technicians in preparing detail action plans, mobilization schedules, conduct technical trainings and workshops at field level, developing business modules, agriculture related IEC materials & training manuals. He/she is also responsible for identification of potential food security and livelihood opportunities at local level, market linkage, cooperative establishment/strengthening, collection center establishment/strengthening and coordination/collaboration with different stakeholders at local level. He/she will also be responsible for monitoring of the project activities at the field and provide timely feedbacks to the supervisor while supporting in preparation of project reports. 

Qualification and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture field; minimum 3 years working experience in implementing agriculture and food security related projects at field level; preferably with INGOs or reputed NGOs; experience in handling of agriculture and livestock-based livelihood projects will be added value; willing to work within a team and independently; team player who can develop strong collaborative relations across the partners, communities and government/nongovernment stakeholders at field level ; demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire field staffs, partners and other stakeholders with diverse backgrounds; advance computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentations; good listener and communicator.
