About KAT Centre Nepal:

Kathmandu Animal Treatment (KAT) Centre Nepal is a structured NGO dedicated to addressing animal welfare issues directly. As a nonprofit organization, KAT Nepal receives no federal funding and relies entirely on grants and private donations. We are committed to improving the lives of animals through rescue, rehabilitation, sterilization, adoption, and education programs.

Summary:

KAT Nepal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Administrator. The Administrator will handle administrative, financial, and logistical tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting the overall mission of KAT Nepal.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in government relations, financial management, and logistics, as well as a passion for animal welfare.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree in business administration, public administration, management, or a related field is required. A bachelor's degree may be considered if the candidate has significant relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in administrative or management roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

  • Experience in government relations, including working with municipalities, wards, and lobbying for project approvals.

  • Strong understanding of financial management and bookkeeping. Experience with Tally or QuickBooks is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in logistics management, including supplier coordination and inventory record-keeping.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support effective decision-making.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Nepali and English.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Email, and the Internet.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders, government agencies, and suppliers.

Note: The salary will increase by 36% after the successful completion of the six-month probation period, as per the organization’s policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Government Relations & Advocacy

    • Maintain relationships with government authorities, including local wards and municipalities.

    • Lobby with government agencies for funding, partnerships, and project approvals.

    • Ensure compliance with government regulations and policies.

  2. Accounts & Financial Management

    • Manage financial records and accounts file management.

    • Assist with budget planning and expenditure tracking.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions.

    • Experience in QuickBooks or Tally is preferred but not required.

  3. Logistics & Supply Chain Management

    • Contact suppliers and maintain records of materials, equipment, and other operational needs.

    • Ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies for the organization.

    • Keep inventory and asset management records up to date.

  4. Human Resource & Administrative Support

    • Maintain records of employees, volunteers, and service personnel.

    • Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff.

    • Oversee daily administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence.

  5. Facility & Operations Management

    • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the shelter, office, and other facilities.

    • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

    • Manage office supplies and ensure the efficient functioning of administrative operations.

  6. Public Relations & Community Engagement

    • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote KAT Nepal’s mission.

    • Assist in organizing events and outreach programs.

    • Serve as a point of contact for external partners and visitors.
