Location: Kathmandu but require to work for about 42 days either in Kaski or Surkhet for data collection

Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREHPA) is a private, not-for-profit consultancy and research organization based at Kathmandu, Nepal. It is registered under Society’s Act 2034, HMG as a non-governmental organization (NGO). It is also registered with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal.

CREHPA is looking for Field Supervisors and Research Assistants, with appropriate research skills in conducting quantitative research related to Menstrual Health and Justice in Kaski and Surkhet districts in Nepal. This study aimed to understand adolescent girls' menstrual experiences and reduce the negative impacts of menstruation. 

Main Responsibilities of Field Supervisor

  • Attend intensive orientation training provided by CREHPA
  • Prepare household listing in each sampled cluster and select households for the survey 
  • Lead the field team and monitor and supervise data collection activities in the assigned area \Adhere study protocol including ethical aspects of the study Maintain daily reporting to core team member(s)
  • Attend debriefing meetings and prepare field report

Main Responsibilities of Research Assistants

  • Attend intensive orientation training provided by CREHPA
  • Assist Field Supervisor in household listing and sampling
  • Administer the research tools/questionnaires at sampled households
  • Adhere study protocol including ethical aspects of the study 
  • Update daily activities to the Field Supervisors
  • Work together as a team and under the guidance of Field Supervisor and Research Officer

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, Population Studies, Global Health, or other Social Science research-related discipline.

Skills & Experience 

For Field Supervisors

  • Previous fieldwork experience in data collection preferably in quantitative research and experiences of supervising and leading the field research team.
  • Ability to manage Research Assistants in the field and ensure quality data collection using tablets.
  • Good writing and oral skills in Nepali and English.
  • Candidates who can speak local language will be preferred.
  • Should be a Nepali Citizen.

For Research Assistants

  • Previous fieldwork experience in data collection preferably in quantitative research.
  • Ability for quality data collection using tablets.
  • Good writing and oral skills in Nepali and English.
  • Candidates who can speak local language will be preferred.
  • Should be a Nepali Citizen.
