Health Supervisor/ ANM/ Livelihood Supervisor/ Junior Technical Assistant (JTA)/

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

PHASE Nepal is a not for profit NGO established in 2006 by a group of development professionals dedicated to supporting poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. For the last 10 years PHASE Nepal has been implementing Health, Education and Livelihoods improvement programmes in Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha, Sindhupalchok and Kavrepalanchok districts. Currently, PHASE Nepal's projects are funded by PHASE Worldwide UK, PHASE Austria, City of Vienna-Austria, NTTI USA, Lindsay Cooper Singapore, Hrothgar Investment Limited Singapore, Global Giving USA, Global Giving UK, Innocent Foundation UK, DFID UK through PHASE Worldwide and other individuals and organizations from different countries. PHASE Nepal's earthquake relief projects are funded by DiakonieKatastrophenhilfe (DKH) Germany, Caritas Germany, Caritas Austria, People in Need, UNHCRin addition to regular donors. Currently PHASE has over 80 staff working for different projects.

To implement its regular programme in different VDCs of Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha, Sindhupalchok and Kavrepalanchok Districts, PHASE Nepal is currently in need of the following staff members to appoint as soon as possible: 

1. Position: Health Supervisor

Gross Salary: 30,000-40,000/month

Duty Station: In any three of PHASE Working districts

Required Number: 3

The Health Supervisor will be reporting to the Health Coordinatorand is responsible for supervising and providing technical support to all ANMs in PHASE working area, planning and implementing capacity building activities targeting to different groups like mother groups, FCHV, Health Management Committee, traditional healers etc., communicating to health coordinator and preparing activity report on periodic basis. S/he will have to visit all working areas of PHASE Nepal. 

Required Experience and Qualification: The candidate should have Health Assistant or Staff Nurse Degree with at least 2 years of working experience of handling similar responsibilities. Must have English and Nepali languages, IT and reporting skills.

2. Position: ANM

Gross Salary: 20,000-30,000/month

Duty Station: Humla, Mugu, Bajura and Gorkha Districts 

Required Number: Few

The ANM will report to the Health Supervisor and is responsible for operating clinic, sterilizing the equipment, managing maternity and emergency bag, managing drug supply, conducting health education programme and with the coordination of health management committee, forming different committees for the implementation of the health programme activities. 

Required Experience and Qualification: Minimum ANM passed and registered with the nursing council with minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field. Qulaified local candidates will be given preference. 

3. Position: Livelihood Supervisor

Required Number: 1

Duty Station: Roving

Gross Salary: 30,000- 40,000/month

The Livelihood Supervisor will report to the Project Manager and is responsible for supervising and mentoring all JTAs in the working area, providing technical support to JTAs and different local groups/committees in the working areas, coordinating and eastblishing network with the district and local level Government and non-government orgnisations in the working areas, resolving issues in the community, building capacity of the JTAs, farmers groups, leader farmers etc at community level and preparing periodic report of the programme activities. 

Required Experience and Qualification: Intermediate in Agricultureal Science (ISc Ag) with minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with I/NGO. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Nepali language as well as IT skill is required.

Position: Junior Technical Assistant (JTA)

Gross Salary: 20,000-30,000/month

Duty Station: Mugu or Gorkha District

Required Number: 1

The JTA will report to the Livelihood Supervisor and is responsible for distributing agricultural inputs (seed, irrigation materials,plastic sheets, poultry, goat,etc) in the community, identifying/forming/reforming farmers groups, conducting training to the local groups, forming saving and credit groups and supporting those groups in mobilizing saving and credit fund. 

Required Experience and Qualification: Technical SLC (TSLC) in Plant Production or Animal Husbandary with minimum of 2 years experienceas JTA. Experience in community mobilization activities will be an added advantage. Local candidates having right qualification and experience will be given priority.
